“Teasing Master Takagi-san” pokes a bit of fun of being young Faith Orcino April 18, 2019 Articles, Manga, Reviews Soichiro Yamamoto’s 2014 manga “Teasing Master Takagi-san” shows the silly battles Nishikata deals with as he goes to school. It seems that Nishikata and Takagi are always seen together at their middle school. The truth is that Takagi has a knack for pestering her classmate. The boy tries to get his revenge, but the cool-headed girl stays a step ahead. Their closeness makes everyone think they’re a couple but both deny it. However, as Nishikata keeps trying to match up to his mischievous rival, he gets into some awkwardly romantic situations. “Teasing Master Takagi-san” reminds some of Takuma Morishige’s manga “My Neighbor Seki” with the shenanigans Takagi and Nishikata to what Toshinari shows Rumi. Unlike Seki, Nishikata gets caught not paying attention to class. The school comedy is a good choice for those wanting something light with no heavy drama or action. Yen Press will release Volume Four at the end of April 2019. Fans of the series can head over to Crunchyroll to watch the anime adaptation. For more information on the manga, visit Yen Press’s page.
