V-CRX Announces “The God of High School” Guests, MAPPA Gallery, and More! Virtual Crunchyroll Expo brings a new wave of announcements including special guests and panels about original series. The digital festivities will happen this September 4th-6th. Earlier organizers revealed that “So I’m a Spider, So What?” light novel creator Okina Baba will be participating in V-CRX. Illustrator Tsukasa Kiryu will also be part taking in the fun. They’ll be joined by voice actor Patrick Saitz (“One Piece” Franky, “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” Dio Brando). Creator of the hit Webtoon series “The God of High School” Yongje Park will have a panel about his series and anime adaptation. Behind-the-scenes art from the show will be part of the Studio MAPPA art gallery virtual tour. The tour will feature other shows and also video messages from creators and artists. The duo behind supernatural Webtoon series “Noblesse” writer Jeho Son and artist Kwangsu Lee will be making an appearance during the discussion about the upcoming adaptation. The time-twisting sci-fi anime “GIBIATE” is one of Crunchyroll’s recently released orginals and its director and character designer Masahiko Komino (animator of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”) will be taking about the series. V-CRX will also be hosting a world premiere of “GIBIATE” Episode Nine. “EX-ARM” is an upcoming sci-fi action anime Crunchyroll will be bringing to its viewers soon. Director Yoshikatsu Kimura (“Karate Girl”) and protagonist Akira’s voice actor Soma Saito (“Haikyu!!” Tadashi Yamagushi”) will be talking about the series. Arthell Isom, CEO and Co-Founder of Tokyo-based animation studio D’ART Shtajio and “JAPANAMERICA” author Roland Kelts will be having a panel discussing race in anime. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 12 contestant Rock M. Sakura and cosplayer Kamui Cosplay join Creature of Habit and God Save the Queen as judges for Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup. The competition will be on September 5th.
