Day 2 of our 12 Days of Anime Christmas where we here at Anime Ushi will feature twelve forms of our favorite anime-themed Christmas media and merch. Today is a small clip from the anime Hayate the Combat Butler by the studio SynergySP with the original story written by Kenjiro Hata.

The story revolves around Hayate Ayasaki, an unlucky 16-year-old who has worked since childhood to make ends meet since his parents are too busy gambling away all of their money. One day on Christmas Eve, he finds out that his parents leave him with a massive ¥156,804,000 (or roughly $1,286,703) gambling debt, the Yakuza plan to settle that debt by using him for their needs. While running away from collector’s he runs into a wealthy heiress who hires him to be her butler.

The following clip is short yet transpires the whole series. A young Hayate is sincerley asking Santa, a hero to many children, why the latter will not bring him presents. Santa-san is, to say the least, a total fucking scumbag.
