Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2020 draws near and still the event has a plethora of guests and panels to announce.


Iconic horror mangaka Junji Ito’s panel will talk about one of his more lighter works “Junji Ito’s Cat Dairy: Yon & Mu”.


WWE wrestler Miro will take part in the “Professional Athletes of Anime” panel along with US Olympic Gold Medalist Aries Merritt, University of North Carolina basketball player Cole Anthony and host Jackie Jing.


V-CRX will host a special two-part screening from Toei Animation that will have “One Piece – Episode of Chopper: The Miracle Winter Cherry Blossom”. It is alternative version of the Drum Island arc where the Straw Hats first meet Chopper. The second portion is a showcase with the One Piece cast including Mayumi Tanaka (Monkey D. Luffy), Kazuya Nakai (Roronoa Zoro), Ikue Otani (Tony Tony Chopper) and Hiroaki Hirata (Vinsmoke Sanji).


Voice actress and singer Minori Chihara, most known as Yuki Nagato from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” and “The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato” will have a panel talking about her career. There will also be a digital meet-and-greet with her. Fans will be chosen in a raffle to have the opportunity to purchase entry for this event. Head to its webpage for more information.


Hit producer Teddyloid will be having a special performance Saturday night of V-CRX. Anime fans may remember his work in the “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt” and the “ME!ME!ME!” video.


“The Rising of the Shield Hero” producer Junichiro Tamura and character designer Masahiro Suwa will be returning to Crunchyroll Expo this time with Keigo Koyanagi who worked on the series composition. They will have a panel about the series with special messages from the Japanese cast and a very special announcement.


For those interested in Crunchyroll’s line of games, several production staff members will be making an appearance including NextNinja CEO and “Grand Summoners” producer Masayuki Yamaigishi (Yama-P), “Grand Summoners” global lead Erik, Bandai Namco Entertainment producer of “NARUTO X BORUTO NINJA TRIBES” Kensuke Mita and studio Gaudium co-founder David Cai.


While the panels will be streamed live in the Theater District, attendees who missed their initial showing can head to the On-Demand area to watch the VODs during the weekend of V-CRX.
