Can you imagine such a world? Well, Japan did and are making an entire anime about it. Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (or A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist) is a manga written by Hirotaka Akagi and illustrated by Eito Shimotsuki that has been ongoing since July 2012. Over the weekend a promotional video was released showing a trailer for the upcoming anime series coming out this July.

The manga takes place sixteen years after the “Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising” was put into place. It bans dirty jokes making Japan a perfectly sound yet utterly boring society. That is where our two heroes Tanukichi Okuma and Ayame Kajou come in. These are two youths who have been brought up in this quiet society and can stand for it no longer. They become two rebels against the status quo by performing obscene acts of terrorism. This will be a great kick off to the July anime releases for it will be sure to get a good laugh going and may even make you blush.

I wonder what she means by that?
