The official BERSERK Twitter recently announced that the series is returning and Kouji Mori will be continuing the late Kentaro Miura’s legacy work this month.

Mr. Miura unfortunately passed away last year, leaving his life’s work BERSERK incomplete. Fans and professionals alike were devastated at the untimely new, sharing tributes all across social media.

Now, the series will be coming back this month. Kouji Mori, Mr. Miura’s assistant and friend, will be picking up the mantle. The editing department and Mr. Mori have put out the following statements:

Promising that they will stay faithful to the original story and following Miura’s notes and conversations he had with Mori, the team is finally ready to continue the series. According to Mori, he is the only one who knows BERSERK’s full story and, despite his own doubts that he will properly be able to tell it, he promises to tell it to the best of his abilities. Future chapters will include the following credits: “Original work by Kentaro Miura, Manga by Studio Gaga, Supervised by Kouji Mori.”
