Anime Expo 2019 – Crunchyroll Headquarters Walkthrough Faith Orcino July 15, 2019 Anime and Film, Articles, Conventions, Events, Gaming, Photos All photos were taken by Faith Orcino. Thanks to Crunchyroll, we were able to take a special tour of their headquarters during Anime Expo with fellow members of the press. They transformed a portion of The Novo into their own area where attendees could check out fun activities. The very first area was a photo op featuring Reigen and Mob from “Mob Psycho 100”. The table between the two characters had salt packets and Reigen’s business cards. Across the way was the special training game based off of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” where players try to pop as many balloon monsters with a shield. Though the concept seemed easy, many felt the struggle of being a low level hero. The tour moved on to a special demonstration. Crunchyroll had an AX exclusive tea blend from St. Bastian’s Tea Trading Company. It was a green tea with cherry, rose and lychee mixed with agave. It was inspired by sakura blossoms and they showed how would the tea after treated with liquid nitrogen. The group moved to the next two photo ops, one based off of “Black Clover” (not shown) and one filled with gigantic Rimurus from “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” made from the company Yogibo. Those that checked out the “Black Clover” set could try on the CR exclusive Black Bulls cape which is available for purchase. People who went to the Crunchyroll headquarter also got a chance to play its newest games: “RBWY: Crystal Quest”, “Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle”, “Grand Summoners” and its anime collaborations and “Attack on Titan Tactics”. The whole area was a stamp rally and if participants completed their sheet, they gained access to a secret room. The special room contained a pit filled with exactly 804 Bananya plushies where attendees could dive in and take photos. The Crunchyroll Headquarters was just a taste of what will be at San Jose, CA when Crunchyroll Expo happens this August. To learn more about the event, check out their website.
