If you are reading this, chances are you grew up with Cardacptor Sakura, or Cardcaptors as it was known as in the States. While the new series isn’t scheduled to air until January 2018, you’ll be able to get a taste of the Clear Card Arc via a short prologue anime set to be released this September.

The anime special is set to bundled with the third volume of the currently-running Cardcaptor Sakura sequel manga. It will ship September 13, and serves as a bridge between the original series with the new arc.

While I have not yet read the new arc, this looks absolutely beautiful. The anime was definitely ahead of it’s time when it first aired (much like all CLAMP series) but this new series comes during what I like to call a “Golden Age of Anime”. Winter 2018 will surely be one to remember!
